£102.  Probably a bit OTT, but I really wanted it.  It is in good nick and works very well with good strong, legible printing, needless to say I am delighted with it. It has the number 1572  engraved on the front plate and it is still sealed with a red wax seal bearing the letters AA.

According to the seller, the machine belonged to an old man who had spent his working life working for Potteries Motor Traction.

There was another, earlier insert machine sold on eBay last week, reputably originally used by W. Alexander (Northern) which was lacking the operating handle. It went for about £36.

Ah yes, 1572 - new to AA Motor Services of Ayr, hence the AA seal.  Nowt to do with PMT!

Thanks, Jack. AA Motor Services, Ayr. I had no idea it was a Scots machine so, being a scot, I am delighted with the info. Before I saw your reply I posted another query under the title A Tale of Three Setrights.

And I've just responded on your other query before I saw this one, but I agreed about AA...

In case you don't see the post there, I wonder if the machine came to PMT via one of the many independents they bought out over the years, if they had got the machine second hand from AA.
