It had been modified for decimal currency by restricting the movement of the levers, so that the top selector lever can only go up to 9pence, and the shilling lever can no longer select the halfpenny. These blocking pegs have now been removed so the machine can access the full range of prices. I was interested to note that the date number inside will only go between 70 an 99. Further proof of it's age. Sometime in its life, the ticket class knob has has a knock and is slightly bent. It doesn't stop it working. If I get time I may extract the shaft and and try straightening it. When I bought it, it came with the strap and rubber pad. Also it had a bracket on the back which I assume is used when mounting the machine in a stand. http://www.ticketmachinewebsite.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=74539528 74539528 1936 T.I.M TICKET MACHINE PRICE LIST A T.I.M machine cost around £15 in 1936 a lot of money back then, but undertakings could acquire the machines for free if they entered long term ticket roll supply contracts http://www.ticketmachinewebsite.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=27209680 27209680 SENT FROM HEAD OFFICE 1932 The directors travelled all over the world to find new customers http://www.ticketmachinewebsite.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=27209681 27209681 SALES LETTER 1932 Sent to Lytham St Anne's Tramways, regarding possible purchase of the T.I.M,which did result in a order. http://www.ticketmachinewebsite.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=27209699 27209699 SALES LETTER 1932 The letter also mentions another 500 T.I.Ms ordered by the LONDON GENERAL OMNIBUS COMPANY. http://www.ticketmachinewebsite.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=27209701 27209701 LYTHAM ST ANNES T.I.M TICKET http://www.ticketmachinewebsite.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=27209703 27209703 LYTHAM ST ANNES T.I.M STANDARD L9 http://www.ticketmachinewebsite.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=27209704 27209704 L.T.P.B WIMBLEDON TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS kiosks were used all over London when there was a big event ,This speeded up mass passenger movement. http://www.ticketmachinewebsite.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=27209712 27209712 SOUTHDOWN MOTOR SERVICES T.I.M MAJOR I940 Brighton depot machine http://www.ticketmachinewebsite.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=27209718 27209718 COLCHESTER MACHINE MAJOR http://www.ticketmachinewebsite.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=27209738 27209738 COLCHESTER TICKET MAJOR http://www.ticketmachinewebsite.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=27209742 27209742 C.I.E GAELIC TICKET MAJOR http://www.ticketmachinewebsite.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=27209744 27209744 BELFAST MACHINE MAJOR http://www.ticketmachinewebsite.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=27209746 27209746 Tim Ticket Designs TIM TIckets from a 1950s brochure http://www.ticketmachinewebsite.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=41210081 41210081 Inside of Plessey Ticket Machine This machine I believe went into service with Sheffield Transport in 1970/71.
