The diamond symbol appears to be a crude attempt to convert the " /-" to a "0" on decimalisation, rather than remove the index and overstamp.
The statistical counter on top makes me think 'Manchester'! If the words STAGE and BOARDED are in fact replaced with 1 | 2 and 4 | 3, the erased title would be M.C.T.D. for this machine O11. Compare http://www.yorkshireteabags.co.uk/ManZ02.jpg.
