This quite heavy fare counter is used by pulling the trigger and then pushing a coin / token through the spring loaded slot on top. Coin / token falls through with a loud ding and counter moves up one.Made by Money meters inc, Providence Rhode Island USA. The token says United traction company systems / Good for one fare. Not sure these belong together.

Hello I have the money meter fare counter and wondered what it is worth. Also is there a way to open to see if token or coins inside.
