Although this machine went the other direction, and was converted from standard long range style to short range lever dial style for one-man-operation by SELNEC / Greater Manchester PTE.
There are quite a few of these in existence.
(This machine would have been worked end on via a motor drive, so the original style handle is probably not quite appropriate)
The "W" in the machine number represents the depot the machine was allocated (new at least) to - although I can't immediately think which Manchester depot this would be.
