Interesting that your Side-Lever punch is missing its bottom cover. So's mine, and one that recently sold on eBay is similarly distressed.
I wonder if these punches were deliberately stripped of their covers (by Williamsons'?) to make them unusable prior to disposal?

I managed to obtain one of these beauties on ebay and it works - only problem is it does not have a door to the base whereupon the clippings just spill out ! Can anyone throw light on that please?
