Hi, I would like to know if it's possible to find one like this. No one beleive me when i say that i use to see one in the 1970's out of Montreal area. I'm sure some of them were used at this time. And could you tell me how much is it to get one with the supplies like the on i saw on sales and the cost to be shipped in Canada.

Thank's

Well spotted Thomas, yes the stickers are inaccurate. There are four fare bands and therefore there are four counters, one for each band just like any other long range Almex "A". They should include one that says "Hundreds of pounds" but have you ever seen such a label, because I haven't! So the machine just has the four standard labels, which is how I received it. I believe that it was supplied new in this condition, unless anybody knows better. Picture of ticket will follow shortly.

I notice this machine has a counter marked 'Pence' yet the smallest increment it can do is '10p'

What action on the machine causes figures to be registered on this counter?

Or is it likely that this machine was altered from its original form and nobody has thought to change the labels showing what each counter represents, such that the '1p' counter records '10p' then the '10p' counter records '£1' etc. Unlikely that Almex would have released a machine like that, so was this a 'back street' conversion?

Lovely machine though - any chance of a piccy of a ticket issued from it?
