ALMEX A Extended Range Ticket
Title reads "FARNBOROUGH INTERNATIONAL '94". I've been there and the prices really are more than your average bus ticket! I dont know if this machine was used for one season only or if new cliche plates were fitted each year with the title amended accordingly. If anybody out there knows please join in.

'Strewth - Considering that was 15 years ago, were the admission charges to Farnborough Airshow that much that a £99.99 machine would not have been sufficient instead of a £999.90 machine. What did you get for that sort of money - a trip on Concorde? Or was it the case that a group of you did not get a ticket each and that the machine had to be capable of issuing one ticket for say 30 adults and 20 children if a coach party turned up?

Doesn't look like the machine has seen much use though as the printing is still in a reasonably straight line. Most used Almexes I have seen, including the ones I own, seem to be incapable of printing the serial number in a straight line. The gearing on the serial number printwheels seems to be the first things that gets worn with the result that the numbers are out of alignment.

As to your query about the machine having new cliche plates each year - Were Almex A's made as late as 1994? If not this does lend to the theory that the plates could have been replaced each year.
