Picture of tickets from a British Railways (Western Region) TIM showing all variations available. Highest date that machine can print is as shown on the tickets. Earliest is 1950. These machines were not used to issue travel tickets, but parcel labels. Machine performed a similar function to the 'Handiprinter' machine that you have illustrated in this section. The TIM system seems a much simpler system. Machine does not show any cash totals, only a separate counter for each of the 8 classes, plus the total tickets, which matches the progressive number on the tickets.

This is the first time i have seen this type of ticket/parcel label other that in illustrations,and as highlighted by these quality pictures there's nothing like the real thing.
Thank you Thomas for another excellent addition to the site.
